Edna Mae Harmon, 88, peacefully passed away on Friday April 14 in Salem Or. Edna Mae, loving mother of three sons, wife. Teacher and friend to all, was born on April 4, 1935, to Vera and Leland Reeves in Klamath Falls Oregon. She was the kindest, most generous person you would ever know, always happy, cheerful and like a breath of fresh air to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. To Edna Mae there were no strangers, only friends she hadn't met yet. She graduated from Merrill High School (Me He Ma) in 1953. Edna Mae subsequently Attended Oregon College of Education and Western Oregon University obtaining a Masters in Education. She met her future husband, (Dr.) Sidney Harmon while attending College and later moved to Portland Or. Edna Mae was a special ed teacher at Oregon School for the Deaf from 1973 - 1993. Edna Mae is proceeded in death by her sons, Kenny Harmon and Kerry Harmon, and her sisters, Carol Lee Boals and Virginia (Ginger) Evelyn Zumwalt. She is survived by her son Duawn Harmon and her brother Jerry Reeves. A celebration of Edna Mae's life will be held 10:30 a.m. June 3, 2023, at Court Street Christian Church, 1699 Court St NE, Salem OR 97301
