The Klamath and Lake Counties Stand Down for area veterans will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the Klamath County Fairgrounds Event Center, according to a news release.

Included services will include meals, clothing donations, haircuts, access to community resources, Veterans Affairs benefits counseling, Social Security information, spiritual counseling, food stamp referrals, housing information, employment referrals and information, eye exams and glasses, legal assistance and a homeless “courtroom,” hearing needs, substance abuse intervention, counseling and referrals and dental services. For veterans that meet federal guidelines for homelessness, there will be a Department of Defense surplus issue.
