Though the Tulelake Shindig Street Fair and Bazaar was canceled this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Shindig Scholarship is still alive and well. Three Tulelake High School seniors were recently awarded Shindig Scholarships in the amount of $500 each, according to Shindig Scholarship founder and coordinator Lydia Gil.

Those seniors are Leea Brown, Jesus Garcia and Jaci Watson. Brown plans to attend Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California to study nursing.

Garcia is planning to attend Butte College in Chico/Orland, California to study diesel engineering.

Watson intends to attend Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo to study nursing.
