MACDOEL — A recent home invasion and robbery sent a Macdoel man to the hospital and led to the arrests of two Dorris men, according to a report from the Redding Record Searchlight.

The robbery occurred Monday morning in the 12000 block of Homeland Road in Macdoel.

The victim told Siskiyou County Sheriff’s deputies he was robbed at gunpoint by two men. Following an investigation, Blake Hampton Lybrand Day, 38, of Dorris, and Steven Craig Shilling, 38, of Dorris, were arrested, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Both were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was treated at Butte Valley Health Center in Dorris and later at Sky Lakes Medical Center.
