Kick up your rice with this beautiful yellow rice. I love to add things to my rice to make it change colors and flavors. It’s easy and fun. The coriander seeds add an extra crunchy surprise. This is great with sautéed greens on top.

1 tsp. olive oil

1 tsp. coriander seeds

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 cup basmati rice

2 cups water

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. ground turmeric

1. Put olive oil and coriander seeds in medium sized pot on high heat, cook for 1 minute, add garlic. Cook for another minute.

2. Add rice and water.

3. Add rest of ingredients and bring to boil. Turn heat to low and cover. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit covered for another 5 minutes.
