The Klamath IDEA (Inspire Development, Energize Acceleration) will host an open house to celebrate the opening of the Klamath IDEA Center for Entrepreneurship from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release. The center is at 803 Main St., Suite 103, inside the Washington Federal Bank Building.
The center will be open from 9:30 to noon Monday through Friday for members of the public with questions about available support for local entrepreneurs. In the afternoons and evenings, the center will be utilized as a business training classroom by resource partners, according to Kat Rutledge, director of the Klamath Community College Small Business Development Center, and leader of the Klamath IDEA.
The open house will commence with a ribbon cutting, and light refreshments will be served.
Klamath IDEA is a community initiative supporting entrepreneurial resources in the region. Resource partners include KCC, the KCC Small Business Development Center, South Central Oregon Economic Development District, Klamath County Chamber of Commerce, Oregon Tech, Klamath County Economic Development Association, Oregon State University Klamath Basin Research and Extension Center and Business Oregon.
The classroom and center were largely funded by a rural opportunity grant from Business Oregon, the state’s economic development agency.
