A portion of Forest Road 3315, locally known as the High Road, located on the Fremont-Winema National Forest Paisley Ranger District will be closed starting Oct. 21 through at least Friday for guardrail replacement.

The road will be closed from the junction with Forest Road 33, approximately 1 mile west of Paisley, to east of the junction with Forest Road 3360. There will be barricades in place and the road will be completely inaccessible until the work is completed late Friday.

The guardrail is being replaced due to damage from the Brattain Fire in 2020. The road is being closed to allow contractors space to safely work and install two 200-foot sections of guardrail along the edge of the road. The sections have a steep drop off and limited area for equipment to operate.

Area residents and visitors are asked to avoid the area during this work. There will be notification once the road reopens.

For those needing to access the area from the north during the next three days, Forest Road 29 northwest of Paisley connects to Forest Road 3360, heading south to intersect with Forest Road 3315.
