An Ulta Beauty salon is set to open in Klamath Falls.

Ulta is a chain of beauty supply stores which carry a wide variety of brands of makeup, skincare, bath and body products and beauty tools.

The Klamath Falls location is tentatively slated to open this fall in September or October.

The beauty store will be located at 2870 S 6th Street, where Sports Authority was formerly located.

Dickerhoof properties, a Corvallis-based developer, owns three other properties in what is known as Jefferson Square.

“We did recently purchase the old Safeway next door and we’ll be doing the new Natural grocers, TJ Max and Planet Fitness there,” Darren Dickerhoof said.

“We wanted to get Ulta. We just think they were a great tenant and that the people of Klamath Falls will like having it there. And that will fill that entire shopping center with those four tenets,” Dickerhoof said.

There will be a hair salon in the back of the new Ulta store. Dickerhoof estimates that the new businesses in Jefferson Square will open up 50 to 60 new jobs, but said it’s hard to know for sure how many will be available before the businesses move in.

Dickerhoof said there is lots of remodeling to be done before the Ulta store opens.

All four of the new Jefferson Square businesses are still under construction, but Dickerhoof said he estimates they will all open in the fall. He said Dickerhoof properties wanted to revitalize that shopping center right before the holidays.

“It should be really cool for Klamath Falls,” he said.
