The Eugene Ballet Company returns to the Ross Ragland Theater Tuesday, Dec. 18 for two performances with local dancers to present the holiday classic, “The Nutcracker.”

Performances of “The Nutcracker” by the Eugene Ballet Company will be presented at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 in the Ross Ragland Theater, according to a news release.

The acclaimed Eugene Ballet’s holiday extravaganza once again fills the stage with smiling faces of all ages as young dancers join the company to tell this beloved story with its grand adventures taken by Clara and Hans. “The Nutcracker” brings the holiday spirit into focus, transporting you through Clara’s dreams and the wondrous characters she encounters along the way. With the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier as guides, you’ll fly away to the Snow Kingdom and the Land of the Sweets, but not before battling the Mouse King and his pirate henchmice.

The local dancers will be from the dance studios of Rachel’s School of Dance, Klamath Dance and Exercise, and Carla’s, The Dancers Studio.

Tickets for both performances are $19, $23 or $29, before transaction fees.
