Summer is upon us and the downtown Klamath County Library is hosting extra events each week while school is out to chase off summer boredom. Check ‘em out:

Music and Movement: Mondays at 11 a.m. Children and parents get into the groove with music and dance. Join library staff for stories, games and more. Suggested for children 2 and up.

Baby Bouncers: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, songs and games with your little ones. This event is aimed at newborns through 12 months, but all are welcome.

Terrific Toddlers: Tuesdays at 11 a.m. Toddlers ages 12 to 36 months will enjoy stories, games, songs and more.

Teen Podcasting Club: Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. Record your own audio show. The library has all the equipment you’ll need – and enough snacks to fuel your creativity. For ages 12 to 18.

Family Storytime: Tuesdays at 4 p.m. Each week the library will have a new story and activity to encourage family bonding time. For kids of all ages and their grown-ups.

Summer Reading Program Performance Series: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Each week, the library will have a new guest for music, hands-on learning, games and more. Doors open at 10 a.m., and stay for lunch afterward on the Klamath County Courthouse lawn. For all ages, but adults must be accompanied by a child for entry.

Preschool Power: Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Come for stories, crafts and songs. Suggested for children ages 3 to 5.

Pet Partners: Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Read with therapy dogs. They’re very good listeners. All ages welcome.

Teen & Youth Video Game Tournament: Friday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 26 at 3 pm. Who’s the best gamer in the library? For ages 8 to 18.

Teen & Youth Lego Hour: Friday, June 28th at 3 p.m. Build something cool with the library’s collection of Legos! For ages 5 to 18.

Summer Marvel Movie Marathon: Mondays and Fridays at 11 a.m. Working through the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe, fueled by popcorn and soda! For ages 12 to 18.

Teen Time: Wednesdays at 1 p.m. It’s the best of Teen Let’s Eat, Teen Craft Club, and Teen How To, rolled into one weekly event! Make Rice Krispies Treats, stir up some slime, chow down on snacks and much more. For ages 12 to 18.

Teen Tournament: Thursday, June 20 at 2 p.m. We’re playing for the Monopoly crown! We’ll have snacks, and a championship prize for the victor of this no-holds-barred game of Monopoly. For ages 12 to 18.

Youth Water War: Thursday, June 20 at 3 p.m. Cry havoc, and let loose the water balloons of war! For ages 8 to 12.

Youth Escape Room: Thursday, June 27 at 11 a.m. Keep your wits about you and get free before time runs out! For ages 8 to 12.
