There has been a head-on crash on Highway 97 north of Klamath Falls, near Modoc Point, officials report.

Oregon State Police confirmed there has been one fatality in a two-vehicle crash on Oregon Highway 97 near Milepost 295 near Chiloquin Friday afternoon.

Two other people were taken to Sky Lakes Medical Center. Their names have and conditions have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation, according to OSP Sgt. Yvette Shepherd.

Shepherd said to avoid the area of the crash and if possible, seek alternative routes.
