The Yankee Air Pirates, a local remote control airplane club in the Klamath Basin, are on a broader mission than you’d think.

Dan Gellner, president of the non-profit organization, said the Yankee Air Pirates began as a group of four guys that wanted to teach children and young adults how to work with basic tools and building materials along with getting them interested in RC airplanes.
