Geothermal customers in Klamath Falls were without heat for a couple hours Friday morning. The system has been partially restored as city crews wait for parts to repair the system.
The system went down after a joint that absorbs pipe vibrations sprung a leak at the heat exchange facility. The water sprayed onto a control computer and electronics for two variable frequency drives, said Klamath Falls Water Division Manager Randy Travis.
