A Klamath Falls man was arrested Thursday morning in connection with a 2009 murder at a tavern on Summers Lane, according to a news release from the Oregon State Police.

Troy Douglas Adcock, Jr., 24, is charged with murder and first-degree robbery stemming from a September 2009 incident at the now-closed Summers Lane Tavern.

Douglas Ray Nelson, 31, was tending bar alone on Thursday, Sept. 3, when he was shot during an apparent armed robbery.

At about 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 4 a janitor at Mia and Pia's Pizzeria, which shared a parking lot with the tavern, noticed the victim's pickup was still in the parking lot and went to see why he was still there. He noticed the door to the tavern was open and called 911.

Two possible suspects were questioned immediately following the murder, but were removed from the list of suspects, Klamath County District Attorney Ed Caleb said at the time.

Adcock is also charged with a probation violation for weapon use and possession of valium. These charges are unrelated to the murder investigation, according to the news release.

He is being held at the Klamath County Jail in lieu of $125,000 bail.
