A Klamath Falls man is booked in the county jail after stabbing an acquaintance following an altercation outside the victim’s home early this morning.
Clint Grover Palomino, 44, is charged with first degree assault for stabbing a man on the 800 block of Wiard Street at around 12:40 a.m., according to the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office. The victim’s condition was not immediately available, but the chest wound did not appear life threatening. He was transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Palomino fled on foot after committing the crime. The Sheriff’s office called the Klamath Falls Police Department, which brought its K-9 unit to the scene. The unit tracked Palomino’s scent to the Steen Sports Park, less than a mile west of Wiard Street. Authorities there found and detained Palomino.
Palomino was booked in the Klamath County Jail at 2:55 a.m. this morning, approximately 2 hours after the stabbing took place. His bail was set at $100,000. Read more in Thursday's print and e-editions of the Herald and News.
