The office of the Oregon Attorney General, as of Jan. 1, has temporarily taken over management of the Klamath County District Attorney's Office pending the appointment of a new district attorney, according to Jeff Manning, spokesman for the Attorney General.

Manning said Senior Assistant Attorney General Andrew Campbell will be in Klamath Falls during the week to oversee the office.

This is a routine step taken when a district attorney retires mid-term, Campbell said.
