OIT volleyball team ready for conference semifinals

Wednesday, November 12, 2008 11:48 PM PST
Oregon Tech heads to Idaho knowing what it has to do if the Hustlin’ Owls are to make their first ever NAIA national tournament appearance in volleyball.

They face familiar foes, too.

OIT will play Southern Oregon at 4 p.m. Friday in the first semifinal match of the Cascade Collegiate Conference playoffs at The College of Idaho in Caldwell. CofI then plays Eastern Oregon at 7 p.m.

The winners meet at 7 p.m. Saturday for the championship, and only the tournament winner is guaranteed a berth in the national tournament later this month in Sioux City, Iowa.

For more on Oregon Tech’s sports weekend, see page B1 of Thursday’s H&N.
