Andrew Whelan, a spokesman for U.S. Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., said there’s a possibility of a final congressional session next week. The session would be the last opportunity for outgoing lawmakers to make any decisions. Read more in Tuesday's Herald and News print edition.

we would have to arrest everybody in congress, every single one...which by the way isn't that bad of an idea. "

" In regards to what we should do about the destroyed economy. The answer is clear. Arrest the perpetrators, try them in a court of law, and imprison them for life without possibility of parole. By doing this the Congress could restore accountability, and confidence back in to the markets. CEO's would have a momment of pause before ripping and piligiging their company's and worker's pension funds. The global investor would be calmed by these actions and less likely to withdraw out of the markets all together. However if the status quo keeps on doing what its been doing then there will be a financial armegedon as never seen in the 29 crash. "
