Brother facing charges in early Monday death
An 18-year-old who was killed Monday after the vehicle she was riding in landed upside down in an irrigation canal near Newell died from freshwater drowning, forensic pathologist James Olson determined Tuesday.
Ussery’s brother, 20-year-old Aaron Ussery was charged with felony vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, driving under the influence, driving while addicted to a drug and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Aaron Ussery was able to escape and walked about one mile to call 911 at a nearby residence.
