Snow showers predicted for Klamath Falls tonight

Monday, November 3, 2008 10:17 AM PST
National Weather Service officials predicted a 70 percent chance of rain and snow for Klamath Falls tonight after 10 p.m.

Low-altitude storm systems near Cape Blanco are predicted to spread precipitation across most of southeast Oregon, said Marc Spilbe, meteorologist with the NWS Medford office.

Precipitation will start with rain in the evening, changing to snow showers around midnight. Officials predicted a chance of one to two-inch snow accumulations for areas between 4,000 and 4,500 feet. National Weather Service meteorologists predict a low of 32 with wind gusts reaching a potential 25 mph.
