KU football loses, but still reaches 5A playoffs

CENTRAL POINT — Despite a 15-6 loss at Crater Friday, Klamath Union’s football team is headed to the Class 5A state playoffs after a coin toss between the Southern Sky Conference tri-champions.
Crater will enter the playoffs as the league’s No. 1 seed and will play at home, while the Pelicans are second and will travel. Ashland will stay home.
Both teams get a first-round bye and will play over the weekend of Nov. 14-15.
