" Both happen wah regularly: People wander across streets here and there in the dark wearing dark clothing, this lady and the boy on Harlan a few years back as two examples. They are at fault, should be ticketed and pay to repair people's cars. BUT, many people drive crazy: too fast, way destracted with cell phones, run red lights and will not stop for people awaiting at cross walks. I am sure glad the City Police seem to be much more actively patroling South Sixth esp. just beyond the railroad overpass. The need for tickets seems never ending. "

" It is sad that she got hit and injured.
BUT I know there are countless times that people have blindly walked into the street and crossed in front of me and others. ESPECIALLY at night, wearing dark colors!
MAYBE if Klamath had an ample amount of street lights, we could see the people illegally crossing the streets. "

" Wow! Tia and Tina - You guys are making it sound as if this guy intentionally went out of his way to hit this lady. If this lady was illegally crossing the street she is at fault. She will be lucky if the guy doesn't sue for damages to his car. Obviously speed wasn't an issue or a citation would have been given. "

" I'm real sure the driver wanted to hit this lady, get real, you all should watch what you are doing, and how you drive, such as using your turn siginals and hang up and drive, no cell phones. "

" What a sad story...I know this lady and my thoughts and prayers are with her and her family for a full recovery ! "

" just because she was "illegally" crossing, doesn't mean that drivers shouldn't pay attention! It's also the driver's fault. Illegaly crossing the street does NOT give drivers the right to hit someone. Drivers in this town are crazy drivers to begin with. SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!!
I was also at the scene right after it happened, no obvious marking showing that he even slammed on the brakes! "
