Tribes sign option agreement for tree farm purchase
No purchase price has been disclosed for the land between Spring Creek and Chemult
The Klamath Tribes have signed an option agreement to purchase the 90,000-acre Mazama Tree Farm on former Klamath Indian Reservation lands from Fidelity National Financial. No purchase price has been disclosed.
The tree farm, which straddles Highway 97 for 24 miles between Spring Creek Hill and Chemult, has had various owners since the Tribes lost federal recognition in 1954. Read the full story in Wednesday's Herald and News print edition.

Is there a "purchase price"?? How much, or is it one of those now we own it and you don't?
It wasn't that long ago, and I remember alot of bickering about back room private meetings and deals.

How else can it be that Indians, across America, live in 3rd world conditions? America is supposed to be the land of opportunity and justice, equality, but the Original inhabitants of this land will always be the facts that disturb this American illusion.
