Obama takes away incentive to work

Sunday, October 26, 2008 12:14 AM PDT
Those voting for Obama have a new ally.

Fox News reports that the Communist Party, headquartered in New York, is ecstatic. With Obama, they will have a person in the White House who espouses their doctrine to take from the rich and give to the poor with government doing the taking and giving.

Joe McCarthy quieted the Communists in the early 1950s. Obama’s projected policies have revitalized them.

I would never accuse Obama of being a Communist, but it is obvious he is playing into their hands. His tax policies eliminate the desire to work. There are help wanted signs all over this city, but why work for $10 an hour when a person can sit at home and draw his welfare check and food stamps, pay no taxes and, under Obama, get a check at the end of the year? Going to work would be a downgrade.

Those having the desire to improve their lot are limited to under $250,000. Anything over that will incur an exorbitant tax hike.

Obama may win this election, but not because he is the best candidate. He may win due to ACORN’s fraudulent vote gathering among the minorities and the two welfare states of New York and California. Obama gave ACORN campaign monies to get out the vote. ACORN claims it has registered over a million voters, mostly minorities.

McCain will win the majority of the states, probably 38 or 39 as did George Bush. He’ll lose California and New York and, with their large advantage in electoral votes, may lose the election. His hope is in people who will put country before self.

President Kennedy said it best, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” A vote for Obama means socialism.

" Ah, Sarge, your ignorant racist rant makes me glad I no longer live in Klamath Falls, people like you frighten me. The fact that anyone actually thinks that Barack Obama is a muslim is astounding to me. Of course all the gun toting nuts that misinterpret the second amendment that call Klamath Falls home have no clue what they will be in for when they vote for McPalin. "

" Yeah right Kirk! Joe Biden has never told a lie in his life! Why does the NRA give Obama an F on upholding the 2nd Amendment?

Your nose is gonna start growing if you keep repeating those left-wing liberal lies Kirk! "

" Worldwide, traffic accidents are the leading cause of death for 15- to 19-year-olds.

According to an editorial in the April 21 issue of The Lancet, traffic accidents are also the second most likely cause of death for both 10- to 14-year-olds and 20- to 24-year-olds, and the number three killer of children ages 5 to 9 years.

Since we WON'T:
Ban traffic/autos
Restrict breeding rights for people who put fully loaded UZI's in the hands of children (rightly so)
AND ...
Obama has never EVER said he would take away your firearms (and Joe Biden has addressed that false claim aggressively) PLEASE...

Keep it rational. "

" Fireye

An 8 year old boy shot himself with an UZI at a gun show!!! Why was an 8 year old even allowed to have an UZI in his hands, let alone shoot it, and in public?!?! Why was he even at a gun show? Why was an UZI on display and citizens shooting it? The last time I went hunting I didn't need and UZI to shoot a duck. Gun control is needed. That one event proves it!

GO OBAMA!!!! "

" Okay, if Karl Rove were a Democrat running a campaign to make the Republicans look bad in Klamath Falls, this letter would certainly be in his resume package in 2012.

Those communist have snuck back under my bed again?!? Where IS McCarthyism when you need it? Duck and Cover exercises can’t be far behind, right?

Let’s get the numbers right. ACORN (The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is an umbrella group working to assist communities in various positive ways. They have had some minimum wage worker issues with registration gathering. Anyone else out there ever have any minimum wage level worker issues? I thought not. (When you pay minimum wage, sometimes you get minimum work, but not usually.)

The numbers are that, in fact, ACORN claims better than 1.5 million new registrations to vote. So, can you tell me again why that is bad? Oh, right, because they are registering the people that certain elements of our society have worked for decades to disenfranchise. You know what, that is NOT something to be afraid of if you truly believe in the America I grew up believing in.

Now, that ridiculous communist thing you mentioned tracks back to one guy, Cliff Kincaid; a man who supports his spurious assertions by referencing his own questionable writings. A committee of one wingnut is still just a loud agenda driven bongo. However, repetition, for the right (read Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage) seems to add credibility to anything. I think I will just stick with facts to build my view of reality, thank you.

I sense desperation when the only arguments are name calling, whisper campaigns and innuendo. The Republicans would assist themselves greatly if they hired an elementary school debating team to advise them. At least their comments would then become somewhat rationally defensible. "

George wrote on Oct 26, 2008 8:28 AM:

" Where do you people get this stuff? Get your heads out of the sand and take a real look at what is happening. Do you think a C E O getting millions of dollars in bonus money helps you? Do you think that same C E O getting a tax cut helps you? Get out from under your bed, because the Commies are not comming. "

Decades wrote on Oct 26, 2008 7:20 AM:

" Ralph,
Let's try to look at it as adults and not fearful children afraid of the Boogey Man:

"In his convention speech in Denver, Mr. Obama said, “Government cannot solve all our problems, but what it should do is that which we cannot do for ourselves: protect us from harm and provide every child a decent education; keep our water clean and our toys safe; invest in new schools and new roads and new science and technology.”

Obama will win this election because he is the best candidate, he will return honor and decency to the US and represent what is truly the best of us to the world. There will be no socialism and if that is all the GOP and FOX news has a counter now for the Republican’s campaign then I feel sorry for everyone who has thrown in with that lot and expected to hear plans on the issues and problems that this country and our people face.

A vote for Obama is a vote for sanity. "
