Authorities are trying to locate family members of victim

Friday, October 24, 2008 8:48 AM PDT
A 44-year-old Tucson, Ariz., man was pronounced dead at the scene of an ATV accident outside of McCloud on Tuesday.

Theodore Martin Kendall, 44, took the ATV for what he told his friend would be a quick ride and never returned. A passer-by found the scene, according to information from the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, the exact cause of death is pending a medical examiner's report. Kendall's employer in Tucson has been notified, but the sheriff's office has not been able to find any family members.
