Mazama boys fall to Ashland, continue improvement
Mazama has tried to maintain composure for two halves throughout the Southern Sky Conference boys soccer season, and the Vikings had been unsuccessful for the most part entering Saturday’s game.
The Viks lost to two-time defending SSC champion Ashland, 4-1, in a home match, but they may have found what they have been looking for.
“It gives us hope. It shows we’re improving,” senior defender and co-captain Mike McKay said. “We’re getting past that (issue), and hopefully toward the end of the season we can capitalize on that and use it to our advantage.”
