Updated: Man charged with Frontier Market burglary

Isaac Sandoval

Thursday, October 9, 2008 6:42 PM PDT
Updated 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9: Isaac Anthony Sandoval, 19, was charged with first-degree burglary in the Oct. 1 gunpoint robbery of Frontier Market on Shasta Way. He allegedly took the cash register drawer with an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing. No one was hurt in the incident.

Sandoval was arraigned Thursday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The state argued for a higher bail amount due to Sandoval’s lack of ties with the local area and reported gang affiliation, said senior deputy district attorney Dave Groff. Judge Marci Adkisson ordered Sandoval be held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Check this site for developments; for additional details, check out Friday's print edition.
