This financial crisis is due to Phil Gramms bill he introduced called Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act in 1999 repealed the Glass Stegall Act which had been in place since 1933 which regulated the financial institution.

Phil Gramm at that time was the Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. He was also the one who was the financial advisor of the McCain campaign. When the morgages went into crisis because of the subprime lending practices and gas and food prices sky rocketed he was the one who said this is a "Nation of Whiners".

Phil Gramm is still very close to John McCain because McCain is for derregulation in which that has caused this financial crisis. "

Yep, in 2006 America voted for change! And we got it – a Democrat Congress led by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.
Now the Democratic candidate for president claims he’s gonna really give us change!

" As an Alaskan who has dealt with Sarah Palin for the last two years, yes, it scares the heck out of me. It was obvious in the Alaska gubernatorial debates back in 2006 against Tony Knowles and Andrew Halcro that she was completely unqualified to run Alaska. She got elected anyways, not because of her knowledge or qualifications, but because she was an admittedly shrewd politician.

Now she is under legislative investigation, regarded as queen of handouts and economic incompetence and a confirmed religious zealot. What a disaster. Another corrupt, incompetent politician from a long line of them in the Alaska Republican Party (many of whom are now under investigation, indicted or serving prison time). As a lifelong Republican, I HAVE to vote for Obama and Biden for the sake of the country and the world. "
