    Battle zucchini

    Overwhelmed with zucchini? Some of us at the Herald and News are. One of our copy editors brought in a box of giant zucchini last week and put us to the test. I turned one specimen into four loaves of zucchini bread and a casserole and still had a significant amount left. That’s not counting the zucchini that ended up in my eyebrows.     On Tuesday night, the H&N sports department covered the crosstown doubleheader between Triad and Hosanna Christian. Seeing as the teams are in the same town and league, and each school's respective gyms are packed more so than usual when they square off, we sports guys have determined this clash needs a name.

Roberta Lynn Llewellyn, 33, 1850 Riverside Drive, probation violation (possession of methamphetamine), possession of methamphetamine; held in lieu of $32,500 bail.

Quentin Scott Nunerley, 26, 3126 Delaware Ave., probation violation (first-degree theft); released on own recognizance.

Rebekah Marie Schalow, 28, Springfield, Ore., first-degree theft; booked and released.

Israel Joseph Shaffer, 27, Chiloquin, strangulation, fourth-degree assault witnessed by a child, interfering with making a report; released on own recognizance.

Kelly Lynn Tron, 46, 5613 Casa Way, fourth-degree assault; released on 10 percent of $15,000 bail.

Kim Curtis Oelke, 23, 144 Jay St.; parole violation — first-degree attempted arson; held without bail.

" The people on Harlan Drive from Homedale to Hope Street have to be harassed by speeders who drive recklessly. We want to know why police aren't stationed nearby. I've know several people who complain. When are they going to drive the speed limit? "
