    Battle zucchini

    Overwhelmed with zucchini? Some of us at the Herald and News are. One of our copy editors brought in a box of giant zucchini last week and put us to the test. I turned one specimen into four loaves of zucchini bread and a casserole and still had a significant amount left. That’s not counting the zucchini that ended up in my eyebrows.     On Tuesday night, the H&N sports department covered the crosstown doubleheader between Triad and Hosanna Christian. Seeing as the teams are in the same town and league, and each school's respective gyms are packed more so than usual when they square off, we sports guys have determined this clash needs a name.

    As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 114 booked in the Klamath County Jail, which has a designed capacity of 152.

    Ronald Eugene Davis, 32, 4322 Arthur St.; first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree assault; held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

    Jessica Elizabeth McIlveen, 19, 2335 Darrow Ave.; first-degree failure to appear (possession of methamphetamines); held in lieu of $69,000 bail.

    Dominic Lee Trujillo, 33, 3710 Bristol Ave. No. B; unlawful possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended; held in lieu of $30,000 bail.

    Marion Lee Dennis, 42, Crescent; resisting arrest, reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), attempting to elude a police officer; held in lieu of $40,000 bail.

    Walter Clarence Henry III, 45, 3611 Highway 97 North No. L2; four counts of probation violation (first-degree burglary and possession of methamphetamine); held without bail.

    Leon McKinley Weeks Jr., 42, Chiloquin; parole violation; held without bail.

DUII

    Timothy Lowe, 45, Likely, Calif.; driving while suspended, unlawful possession of a firearm; posted 10 percent of $15,000 bail.

    Thomas Virgil Toya, 32, Fort Bidwell, Calif.; vehicle hit and run; posted 10 percent of $10,000 bail.
