" There have been many outstanding wrestlers form K.U. Dutch Simons got the program going & won state championships many years. I have the honor of being the first ever State Champ from K.U. That was only because of my 98 pound wt class. Bob Shirley, The Mosby brothers,Melvin Brown along with John Witte & others were on that 1st State Championship "

" Long live Matt Miles! He was the "Billy Kilmer" of Semi Pro Football: tough, gritty, fiery leader, winning mentality. I will never forget this "young gunslinger", he made this league better for being in it.
