(Noon, Tuesday, July 17, 2007) DVDs FOR TROOPS: Troops deployed to the Middle East say DVDs and cards from home are very much appreciated. First Sgt. Chris Barnett a community drive that collected more than 700 DVDs fir 32 guardsmen with Kingsley's 173rd Fighter Winger Security Forces. The wing will deploy next week. (4 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2007) FLETCHER FIRE: A wildfire at the California-Oregon border destroyed one home and four outbuildings and today continued to threaten four residences in the Westside southwest of Lakeview. It grew in size overnight from 2,900 to 6,500 acres. Monday firefighters constructed a dozer line around the northwest and southwest flanks of the blaze and today fire officials are fighting the blaze from the ground and the air.
