Herald and News Updates:
(6 p.m., April 5) GARAGE DEMOLISHED: A parked landscaping truck rolled down Leroy Street and into Bridget Swetland's garage today at 1147 Pacific Terrace. In the process, her daughters' nanny's Jeep Grand Cherokee was totaled and the garage demolished. If not for the Jeep deflecting it, the truck would have hit the house. As it happened, no one was hurt. (Complete story in Friday's Herald and News.
(NOON, April 5) EASTER PREPARATIONS: Churches are preparing spiritually and logistically for Easter Sunday, traditionally one of the days of highest church attendance. The Klamath Basin is also acknowledging the spring holiday, with Easter egg hunts, breakfasts and shopping. (Egg hunt schedules and more in Friday's Herald and News.)
(NOON, April 5) KLETI PAYBACK: A local employment training and placement agency may be required to pay back about $300,000 of federal funding. The Oregon Department of Justice and The Oregon Consortium/Oregon Workforce Alliance began investigating Klamath-Lake Employment Training Institute more than a year ago because of reports of financial mismanagement. (Complete story in Friday's H&N.)

" It appears the two negative reader comments are associated with the wrong article, as they do not seem to relate. It's unfortunate they are appearing after reading such a nice article about this concert. "
