Agriculture industry leaders to be honored

Oregon agriculture will salute industry leaders next month at the 13th annual Agriculture Progress Awards Dinner, to be held at the Pendleton Convention Center, Sept. 3.

The awards dinner celebrates progress in agriculture made through partnerships between business, higher education and state government.

Awards will be handed out in recognition of innovation and leadership include:


  • Excellence in Marketing: CAL-ORE Produce of the Klamath Basin, for its successful efforts to enhance marketing of potatoes through third-party auditing and inspection.

  • Leadership in Conservation: Klamath Water Users Association, for proactively dealing with water shortage issues in the Klamath Basin by implementing widespread conservation efforts among the area's irrigators.
